What Are Magical Commands?

Magical Commands in Slashit are custom AI-powered shortcuts that let you automate writing tasks, translate content, rephrase sentences, summarize paragraphs, and more—using a simple hotkey.

Whether you’re drafting emails or editing documents, you can trigger powerful AI actions instantly, right where you’re typing.

How to Create a Magical Command

1. Open the “Magical” Section from Sidebar
   On clicking Magical, your main canvas shows a list of your Magical Command templates. If no templates are created yet, you’ll see an empty list and for adding a new Magical Template need to Click on the CTA called Add Magical.

2. Click “Add Magical”

   This opens a popup where you configure your custom command:

   ① Name

   Give your command a meaningful name, like (e.g., Translate in French or Summarize Paragraph).

   ② AI Instructions

   Tell the AI exactly what you want it to do (e.g., “Translate in French. Only answer. No extra anything.”).

   ③ Magical Command Hotkey

   Click the field and press a shortcut key combination (e.g., CTRL + Shift + F).

   ④ Choose AI Model

   Pick the AI engine—ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.—that will power your command.

   CTA: Save Magical or use Reset Fields to start over.

How to Use a Magical Command

Once a Magical Command is created, using it is seamless:

1. Select Any Text

   Choose any text block you want to enhance—this could be a sentence, a paragraph, or even just a phrase.

2. Press the Magical Hotkey

   Hit the shortcut key you assigned during setup (e.g., CTRL + Shift + F).

3. Watch the Magic Work

   A small loading animation appears briefly—this means Slashit is communicating with your selected AI model in the background.

4. Instantly Replace with AI Output

   As soon as the task completes, the selected text is automatically updated with the AI-generated result.

   For example: the selected English sentence is instantly replaced with its French translation.

Real Example: Translate in French

Let’s say you’ve set up the following Magical Command:

• Name: Translate in French

• Instructions: Translate in French. Only answer. No extra anything.

• Hotkey: CTRL + Shift + F

• AI Model: ChatGPT

Pro Tips:

• Create different Magical Commands for different tones, writing styles, or languages.

• Hotkeys must be unique per command—plan them smartly.

• Keep instructions precise for best AI output.
