Creating Dynamic Templates

Dynamic Templates in Slashit go beyond plain Snippets. They let you build rich, interactive content with placeholders and variations—ideal for emails, responses, proposals, or any repeatable communication where context changes.

Instead of manually editing text over and over, just fill in the blanks or pick a variation on the fly. It’s fast, smart, and always accurate.

  1. Go to the All Templates or any Folder tab in Slashit.

  2. Click âž• Add Template to open the Template Editor.

  3. On the editor screen:

    • Enter Template Title your template (e.g., “Meeting Scheduler”)
    • Add a Write Shortcut to trigger the template (e.g., /meeting)
    • Assign it to a relevant Folder
      <br>
  4. Use the rich text editor on the main canvas to start writing your content.

  5. Use the interactive sidebar to:

    • Insert Placeholders that prompt users for input.
    • Add Variations that allow quick content switching.

You can add as many fields and choices as you need.

  1. Finally Click Save to Save Create or Update your Template

Final Touches

  • Save your template and test it with its assigned shortcut

  • You’ll see a popup with fill-in fields or variation options

  • Once you confirm, the final formatted message is inserted

✨ Now you’ve got a powerful template that works like magic, every time.

Example 1: Meeting Schedule Template (with Placeholders)

Shortcut: /meeting

Use Case: Send meeting invites with fields that adapt per recipient.

Template Preview:

  • Placeholders include: Name, Meeting Type, Topic, Date Option 1, Date Option 2, Your Name

  • Just fill them in—no edits to the original template required.

🎯 Tip: Use this for sales calls, interviews, internal catch-ups, etc.

Example 2: Bank Details Template (with Variations)

Shortcut: /bank

Use Case: Share payment info tailored for different clients.

Template Preview:

Variation Options for Bank Account Format:

  • Personal Account (Stripe-ready)

  • Business Account (with Tax ID)

  • International Wire Transfer Format

🧠 Bonus: Variations reduce back-and-forth while keeping it personal and precise.

Why Use Placeholders & Variations?

  • Placeholders = Interactive fields that ask you for input before inserting.

  • Variations = Pre-set options to choose from, saving manual rephrasing.

Using both ensures your template works in different situations without rewriting.
